PARIS, - June 17, 2009 — ITT Corporation's (NYSE:ITT) Communications Systems business today announced its ITT Defence Limited business unit has received a $16 million contract from General Dynamics United Kingdom Limited for additional VHF "manpack" radios and ancillaries. This latest order for radios and ancillaries is in addition to the 35,000 units already supplied General Dynamics UK, the prime contractor and systems integrator, as part of the United Kingdom's BOWMAN tactical communications program.
ITT Defence Limited supplies VHF and UHF radios, associated networking capability and data backbone for BOWMAN, the infrastructure for the United Kingdom's battlefield digitization program. The radios are manufactured at and supported by ITT's Basingstoke, U.K. facility.
